Q: How much does it cost to trim or remove a tree?
Price is determined by - The condition or safety of the project. - Determining factors are location of the tree in proximity to obstacles (i.e., a house, fences, power lines, etc.) - Age or Size of the tree - Distance of the tree to the trucks and equipment, which determines how much work, time, or crew members is required to remove debris and wood. WE PROVIDE ESTIMATES AT NO COST TO YOU!
Q: What methods of payment do you accept?
We accept personal and corporate checks as well as cash. Very soon we will be accepting credit cards for our custsomer' convenience, but we are not set-up for credit card transactions at this time.
Q: Is it OK to top a tree?
It is never good to remove too much of the tree's crown. Some trees will not survive a "topping", and others will regenerate, but this growth is weak and elongated and causes deterioration from insects and water. It is possible to do a light crown reduction on some species like Sycamore, Soft Maple, or Elm, but never on a hard-wood species, i.e., Oak.
Q: How does trimming and pruning help my trees?
Removing dead wood allows the cambium (new annual growth ring) to grow and close this area from insects and the elements. Opening up the canopy by removing smaller, unwanted and unnecessary branches that cross other limbs and allows air movement for wind pressing during a storm is called ventilating. Also, by removing lower branches for clearance issues promotes growth from the root system to other desired areas.
Q: Why do trees die in new neighborhoods?
Compaction of the soil from heavy construction equipment prevents the root system from getting water and air.
